Activist, Gospel Groups honored at Emancipation Observance

The Lighthouse Gospelettes and other local artists, The Walker Brothers, The Howard Sisters, and The Voices of Truth were presented with the 2004 Emancipation of Proclamation Pioneer Award. Also presented with the 2004 Pioneer Award was Rev.  Archibald Killian and Hilda Wilhite.The program was held at the Bethel Baptist Church, Watkinsville, GA.  Athens very own BROTHA provided the music.
