Since the 1950s, the Howard Sisters - Lizzie Howard Thompson, Catherine Howard Sharp, Ruby Howard Tiller and Mamie H. Howard - have been singing gospel, performing at churches and other events, as a means of praising God. The Howard Sisters celebrate their time together with a free, all-star concert featuring performances by regional gospel acts and the Howard Sisters themselves. Performers include the Union Norman Singers of Commerce; the Ebenezer Baptist Church West Mass Choir,The Lighthouse Gospelettes, the Walker Brothers, the Hull Family, BROTHA and Clara Fox all of Athens; Sam Sanders of Lilburn and the Sensational Spiritual Singers of Anderson, S.C.
